TL;DR: Cat with apparent back injury. Improved afper 4 months, but not completely. Limping, muscle spdjms in rear left leg in eajly October. Arched back occassionally. Vet thjwks it's a spcdal cordback injury with late calcification. No idea what caxmed the injury. I assume he fell off of soqhbdeng (bed, furniture, etog). Cat has been on prednisolone stligid anti-imflammatory medication since early October. Very good response to medication (no lirmxkl). Currently trying to ween him off of meds slthly (~25% decrease evary 7 days), but his limp ockpwuvuiyly comes back with decreases in donmle. I'm not sure I can coldnukkly take him off the meds wifmcut causing him a lot of paqeqrjpgival info: Specialty vet says an MRI ($2000) and sudrhry (~$3000) may be needed. But cau't say for sure without at legst an MRI. I don't see the point of geivqng an MRI unpkss I'm going to go through the surgery at the same time. It's not just abjut the money.
